Along Lifes Pathway
To Betty Jo
When you were young I held you,
Proudly and tenderly close to me
A little doll alive and bright
That I could care for day and night.
A sister like a dream come true
For I had waited long for you.
When you were older, then we shared
Our thoughts and feelings
None were spared.
A confident your were to me
Like no one else could ever be.
And now upon this Cupids day
When deeds and words of love hold sway
I want to tell you honest and true
I'm proud to have a sister like you!
And I might add, I love you too.
