Below is a list of links that will take you to places to build a home page. I would recommend that you do more research after clicking on a site to make sure that is a site you would want. Some of them will deleate your page if you do not have some things lined up to get on the site. So you may want to have something ready.
Here are some words to look for to find a site you would want to build at.
Browser- So you can upload files with your computer at their site manager.
FTP-You will upload your files using FTP.
Megs (MB)- The more there are the more space you will have.
Subdirectories- So that if you plan on a large page you can keep your files in order.
Banner/pop-up/add- most places offering you a free web page place an add on the page. The cost to you of free web space.
File manager/Editor- The place where you will work on your page.
Advanced- usually means that you will have to know at least some html to get anything on your web page.
Basic/Easy- Usually means that they will build the page for you, most of the time there is a box that you can write and put some HTML in there.
But some do not allow it.
Free- Sometimes the page is free, but the extra services are not. Sometimes the services are free, but the page is not.
Address/addy/URL- The words following http:// where it says address: at the top of your screen. When you build your own page using a free web server your name will usually follow theirs.
but never the less you will be there :) for all the world to see.
